Chill Retro Vibes for Your Sampler

Ever dreamed of what a 1986 consumer Casio keyboard might sound like in your music and songs? The MQ36 Sample Pack brings all the glory of the original MT36 to your computer or sampler of choice.

Processed through a variety of tape and hardware samplers, this sample pack is an ode to the small battery powered keyboards that were ubiquitous to my childhood. Sometimes subtle, sometimes shrill, these devices usually were underwhelming sonically but possessed a kind of flair that would juxtapose in a special way with other instruments.

This sample pack comes in 3 editions - FREE (55 samples), LITE (45 samples), and FULL (1,072 samples). I wanted to be sure to make these sounds available for public domain use and at the same time offer something more detailed for producers to dive into.

The one-shot samples come both processed and raw (in case you want to start from scratch). This offers up either instant creativity or a unique starting point for your own sound design choices. Processed samples have been put through the following hardware:

In addition to straight one-shot hits, there are 50 patterns of drum, bass, and instrument loops. Each pattern bpm and number can pair with each other (example 99 BPM drum pattern 3, 99 BPM bass pattern 3, and 99 BPM instrument pattern 3 will combine to make a full loop).They are separate for full control over their use either together or isolated.

As a bonus - the original rhythm pattern loops of the MT36 have been recorded and warped to grid to give you blistering beats in Bossa Nova, Rock, Swing, and Waltz styles!
